Deputies arrest St. Peters man after he leads deputies on a multi-county pursuit in a stolen vehicle

ST. PETERS MAN ARRESTED IN STOLEN VEHICLE AFTER LEADING DEPUTIES ON CHASE THROUGH TWO COUNTIES

Arrested person information:

Robert Roberts, 27, of St. Peters, MO

Narrative:

On July 15, 2019, at approximately 9:39 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop Robert Roberts, 27, of St. Peters, MO at the intersection of County Road 211 and US Highway 54 in Kingdom City.  The deputy had determined Roberts was operating a stolen vehicle; vehicle stolen from St. Peters, MO.

Roberts failed to stop and led deputies, assisted by Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers, on a vehicle pursuit.  Roberts continued eastbound (north) on US Highway 54 to Mexico, MO in Audrain County.  Roberts then entered westbound (south) US Highway 54 and the pursuit returned to Callaway County.  Roberts was ultimately captured on westbound (south) US Highway 54 just south of State Road B in Auxvasse.

Roberts was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Felony Resisting Arrest, and Driving While Revoked.  Roberts is being held without bond, pending a Court bond setting.

The Fulton Police Department had initially located Roberts in Fulton and attempted to stop him within city limits.  Roberts failed to stop for Fulton officers as well and they later discontinued pursuit of him.
