Deputies arrest seven for various felony offenses during investigations between February 17 and February 20

FELONY ARRESTS CONTINUE AS DIRECT RESULT OF DEPUTY PATROLS

Arrested person information:

Jordan Beers, 32, of New Bloomfield, MO

Bryan Elkins, 33, of Fulton, MO

Penelope Mantle, 39, of Fulton, MO

Jared Evans, 33, of Fulton, MO

David Latham, 46, of Holts Summit, MO

Amber Shimp, 27, of Holts Summit, MO

Nickolas Werner, 32, of Fulton, MO

Narrative:            

On February 20, 2021, at 4:05 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the 6000 block of County Road 262.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Jordan Beers, 32, of New Bloomfield, MO.  Beers was wanted reference a felony Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) warrant for state parole violations.  Beers was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later transferred to the custody of MDOC.

On February 20, 2020, at 1:37 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was traveling through Fulton.  During the travel, the deputy witnessed a motor vehicle crash.  The suspect vehicle fled and the deputy attempted to stop the driver.  As the suspect vehicle came to a stop, the driver, identified as Bryan Elkins, 33, of Fulton, MO fled on foot.  Elkins was located hiding near a residence and taken into custody.  Elkins was arrested for Felony Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Felony Resisting Arrest, and DWI.  Elkins was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On February 19, 2021, at 9:44 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the Fulton area.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Penelope Mantle, 39, of Fulton, MO.  Mantle was wanted reference a felony Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) warrant for state probation violations.  Mantle was transported to the Callaway County Jail and remains in-custody.

On February 19, 2021, at 1:42 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the area of County Road 147.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped Jared Evans, 33, of Mexico, MO for a traffic violation.  Methamphetamine was located.  Evans was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On February 18, 2021, at 11:35 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted an investigation in the area of Jazel Lane.  During the course of the investigation, drug related items and counterfeit currency/production items were located.  David Latham, 46, of Holts Summit, MO was arrested for felony offenses of Assault, Forgery, and Possession of a Forging Instrument.  Later, the Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) issued a felony warrant for Latham’s arrest concerning state parole violations.  Latham was transferred to the custody of MDOC.  Amber Shimp, 27, of Holts Summit, MO was arrested for Polk County warrants reference felony offenses of Burglary and Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Shimp remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail.

On February 17, 2021, at 10:33 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the area of State Road M.  During the patrol, the deputy stopped Nickolas Werner, 32, of Fulton, MO for a traffic violation.  Heroin and other felony level controlled substances were located.  Werner was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booking/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, and later released with summons for Court appearance.
