Deputies arrest seven for various felonies between July 8 and July 13 during patrol and investigations

PROACTIVE PATROLS AND INVESTIGATION NET SEVEN (7) ADDITIONAL FELONY ARRESTS ACROSS THE COUNTY

Arrested person information:

Trevor Middleton, 27, of Holts Summit, MO

Carrie Porter, 42, of Dexter, MO

Kendel Bruning, 41, of Rhineland, MO

James Harper, 33, of Fulton, MO

John Baker, 41, of Columbia, MO

Kenneth Allen, 29, of Steedman, MO

Daniel Nash, 47, of Auxvasse, MO

Narrative: 

On July 13, 2020, at 10:06 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling Old Highway 54 near Holts Summit.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  Trevor Middleton, 27, of Holts Summit, MO was identified as a vehicle occupant.  Subsequently; methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia was located.  Middleton was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and other drug offenses, in addition to a Cole County failure to appear warrant.  Middleton later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On July 13, 2020, at 12:27 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of State Road JJ near Calwood.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  Carrie Porter, 42, of Dexter, MO was subsequently arrested for a Callaway County warrant for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Porter was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On July 11, 2020, at 8:11 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a criminal investigation at a residence in the 10000 block of State Highway 94 near Portland.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Kendel Bruning, 41, of Rhineland, MO hiding in a residence closet.  Bruning was wanted in Warren County reference a felony charge of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.  Bruning was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Bruning was later to the custody of the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 11, 2020, at 12:43 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of State Road F near Fulton.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy spotted James Harper, 33, of Fulton, MO in a vehicle.  Harper was wanted reference a Callaway County warrant for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Upon conducting a traffic stop, the deputy arrested Harper and transported him to the Callaway County Jail.  Harper later posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On July 11, 2020, at 2:20 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of State Road J north of New Bloomfield.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  Subsequently, a felony controlled substance was located.  John Baker, 41, of Columbia, MO was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and other drug charges.  Baker was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later released with summons for later Court appearance.

On July 10, 2020, at 8:59 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a criminal investigation in the 700 block of West Chestnut Street in Fulton.  During the course of the investigation, deputies came into contact with Kenneth Allen, 29, of Steedman, MO.  Allen was wanted reference Callaway County warrants for felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Stealing, and Forgery.  Allen was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Allen is being held without bond, per Judge’s order pending later Court bond review/assessment.

On July 8, 2020, at 3:11 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of State Road HH.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  Daniel Nash, 47, of Auxvasse, MO was identified as a vehicle passenger.  Nash was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.  Nash was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Nash with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Nash is being held without bond per Judge’s order pending further Court bond review/assessment.
