Deputies arrest Portland man for methamphetamine possession after search warrant for ongoing criminal investigation

SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION IN PORTLAND LEADS TO ANOTHER METH ARREST

Arrested person information:

Joseph Meidel, 52, of Portland

Narrative:

On April 12, 2019, at approximately 2:43 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant in the 10000 block of State Highway 94 in Portland reference a criminal investigation being conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies subsequently located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.  Joseph Meidel, 52, of Portland was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Meidel was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held on a $5,500.00 bond.

Deputies continue their investigation and further arrests and/or charges are possible.
