Deputies arrest parole absconder near Hatton after traffic stop

COUNTY ROAD PATROLS NEAR AUXVASSE AND HATTON NET WANTED STATE DOC PAROLE VIOLATOR

Arrested person information:

Samuel Gourley, 37, of Fulton

Narrative:

On March 27, 2019, at approximately 4:20 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling county roads in the Auxvasse and Hatton area.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of County Road 245 and County Road 282.

During the course of the investigation, the deputy identified a vehicle occupant as Samuel Gourley, 37, of Fulton.  Deputies determined that Gourley was wanted by the Missouri Department of Corrections for Parole Violations – original felony offenses of Burglary, Stealing, Property Damage, and other related crimes.  A state DOC arrest warrant had been issued on March 26, 2019.

Gourley was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Gourley is being held without bond, per the state DOC warrant, and will be returned to the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections.
