Deputies arrest Fulton man for burglary and tampering with motor vehicle after deputies respond to burglary outside of Mokane

FULTON MAN CHARGED AFTER SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION NEAR MOKANE

Arrested person information:

David Young, 45, of Fulton

Narrative:

On September 9, 2018, Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney Christopher D. Wilson charged David Young, 45, of Fulton with the felony offense of Burglary 1st, in addition to a second offense of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle 2nd.  The charges are the result of a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigation.

On September 8, 2018 at 9:27 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the 5000 block of River Hills Road near Mokane.  Upon deputy arrival and investigation, it was determined Young had entered a residence unlawfully.  At the same residence, it was discovered a vehicle had been tampered with.  Deputies located Young, on-foot, in the area and arrested him.

Young remains at the Callaway County Jail for the aforementioned charged with a court-set bond of $10,000.00 cash only.
