DEPUTIES CAPTURE FULTON MAN AFTER VEHICLE PURSUIT IN NORTHERN CALLAWAY COUNTY

Arrested person information:

Michael Rogers, 43, of Fulton

Narrative:

On August 3, 2019, at approximately 10:49 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was investigating a suspicious activity complaint in Auxvasse.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy stopped Michael Rogers, 43, of Fulton on South Main Street (Old Highway 54) near East Elm Street.  During the course of the traffic stop, Rogers reentered his vehicle and fled from the deputy.

A lengthy vehicle pursuit ensued on several nearby roadways, including eastbound US Highway 54 toward Audrain County.  Rogers ultimately traveled through the highway median and entered westbound US Highway 54.  Near the intersection of US Highway 54 and County Road 176, another Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deployed tire deflations devices which Rogers struck.  Soon after, Rogers’ vehicle left the roadway and stopped.  Rogers was taken into custody.

Rogers is being held without bond at the Callaway County Jail, pending a Court bond setting, for the probable cause offenses of Felony Resisting Arrest, Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, and Violation of an Order of Protection.
