Deputies arrest Fulton fugitive for a Benton County felony warrant and a Williamsburg man for theft of a firearm

RURAL AREA DEPUTY PATROLS AND INVESTIGATIONS NET TWO ADDITIONAL FELONY ARRESTS

Arrested person information:

Russell Barnes, 34, of Fulton

David Adams, 20, of Williamsburg

Narrative:

On June 25, 2019, at approximately 3:49 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the 3000 block of County Road 328 southwest of Fulton.  During the patrol, the deputy spotted Russell Barnes, 34, of Fulton.  Barnes was wanted in Benton County, MO for a felony criminal non-support offense; the subsequent Benton County arrest warrant ordered a bond of $13,000 cash.  Barnes was arrested and transported to Callaway County Jail where he remains in-custody pending transfer to Benton County authorities.

On June 25, 2019, at approximately 10:47 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a criminal investigation in the 9000 block of Deer Run Road near Williamsburg.  The investigation involved the theft of firearms from an area resident.  Subsequently, David Adams, 20, of Williamsburg was arrested for Felony Stealing (Firearm) and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Adams later posted a $4,500 bond.
