CALLAWAY COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES CONTINUE TO MAKE DRUG AND STOLEN PROPERTY ARRESTS ACROSS THE COUNTY – FOUR ARRESTED IN 17 HOUR PERIOD

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office continues to conduct criminal investigations across the county leading to several arrests for drug violations and/or possession of stolen property.
On November 20, 2018 at 12:03 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a suspicious activity investigation in the area of County Road 4038 and County Road 4035 in the Wainwright area. The Callaway County K9 unit assisted with the investigation. Subsequently, deputies contacted Guinn Burke, 51, of Jefferson City. Burke was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia related to the use of methamphetamine. Burke was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later released on a Court summons for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On November 20, 2018 at 5:20 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a criminal investigation the 100 block of Angel Lane in Holts Summit. Deputies were assisted by the Holts Summit Police Department and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Subsequently, deputies arrested Travis McDonald, 45, of Holts Summit for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Felony Receiving Stolen Property, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Stolen property from Callaway and Cole counties was recovered during the investigation. McDonald was booked/processed at the Callaway County Jail where he later posted a *court set* bond of $9,500.00.
On November 21, 2018 at 7:05 AM, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office conducted a drug investigation in the 1500 block of Monroe Street in Fulton. Deputies had obtained a Callaway County drug search warrant for the target residence. The Fulton Police Department – Special Response Unit and the Callaway County K9 unit assisted with the search warrant execution. Methamphetamine, marijuana, stolen property, drug paraphernalia, and other controlled substances were seized within the residence leading to the following arrests:
Mario Crump, 52, of Fulton was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts), Felony Maintaining a Public Nuisance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – prior offense. Crump was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he remains pending the posting of a *court set* bond of $14,500.00.
Michael Simpson, 67, of Millersburg was arrested for Possession of Marijuana – prior offender and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – prior offender. Simpson was later released on a Court summons.
