Deputies arrest four during overnight patrol, K9 Iro locates wanted felon hiding in woods after a vehicle pursuit outside of Holts Summit

PROACTIVE DEPUTY WORK NETS THREE FUGITIVES, DRUG/THEFT REALTED ARRESTS, AND VEHICLE PURSUIT — DRIVER CAPTURED BY K9 IRO AFTER STOPPING VEHICLE AND FLEEING ON FOOT

Arrested person information:

Charlie Walters, 41, of Holts Summit

Bryce Joslin, 22, of Linn

Ethan Lomas, 23, of New Bloomfield

Jared Evans, 30, of Auxvasse

Narrative:

On June 11, 2019, at approximately 1:04 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies, including the Sheriff’s Office K9 unit, were proactively patrolling the Holts Summit area.  During the course of the patrol, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of North Summit Drive and Simon Boulevard in Holts Summit reference a traffic violation.  The driver fled and a vehicle pursuit ensued on several state and county roadways.  The driver, identified as Charlie Walters, 41, of Holts Summit, later stopped in a field along County Road 385 and fled the vehicle on foot.  K9 Iro successfully tracked Walters and he was taken into custody by deputies.  It was determined Walters was a wanted fugitive in Cole County for a felony drug offense.  Walters was transported to the Callaway County Jail for booking/processing.  Walters is being held on $4,500 bond.  The Holts Summit Police Department assisted deputies with the investigation.

On June 10, 2019, at approximately 11:34 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputes were proactively patrolling the Holts Summit area.  During the course of the patrol, a deputy stopped Bryce Joslin, 22, of Linn near the intersection of South Summit Drive and Autumn Ridge Drive south of Holts Summit reference a traffic violation.  Deputies subsequently located several items of drug paraphernalia in addition to marijuana.  Joslin was transported to the Callaway County Jail for booking/processing.  Joslin was later released on Court summons for appearance.

On June 10, 2019, at approximately 8:21 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies, assisted by Fulton Police Department officers, conducted a fugitive investigation in the 1700 block of North Business 54 in Fulton.  Subsequently, deputies and officers located Ethan Lomas, 23, of New Bloomfield.  Lomas was wanted in Callaway County reference several felony warrants for stealing, vehicle theft, burglary, and assault related offenses.  Lomas was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail for booking/processing.  Lomas is being held on $40,000 bond.

On June 10, 2019, at approximately 6:59 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a fugitive investigation on County Road 245 adjacent to the Audrain County line, east of Hatton.  During the course of the investigation, deputies searched a residence and located Jared Evans, 30, of Auxvasse hiding in a bedroom closet.  Evans was wanted in Audrain County for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Evans was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail for booking/processing.  Evans is being held on $40,000 cash only bond.
