Deputies arrest Columbia parole fugitive during drug investigation outside of Fulton

CALLAWAY COUNTY DEPUTIES ARREST COLUMBIA PAROLE ABSCONDER DURING OVERNIGHT INVESTIGATION NEAR FULTON

Arrested person information:

Kenneth Bates, 39, of Columbia

Narrative:

On December 29, 2018, at approximately 1:25 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a felony drug investigation in the 5000 block of Sillivan Drive west of Fulton.

During the course of the investigation, deputies located Kenneth Bates, 39, of Columbia.  Bates was wanted by the Missouri Department of Corrections for Parole Violations (original charges of Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Felony Stealing, and Felony Resisting Arrest).  A felony warrant had been issued for Bates’ arrest by the Missouri Department of Corrections on December 11, 2018.

Bates was subsequently arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Bates is being held without bond and will be transferred to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
