Deputies arrest New Bloomfield man for methamphetamine possession and a child sex offender fugitive during overnight patrols

CALLAWAY DEPUTIES MAKE FELONY METH AND CHILD SEX OFFENDER ARRESTS DURING OVERNIGHT PATROLS

James Martin-Lucas, 23, of New Bloomfield

Caleb Jackson, 42, of Kingdom City

Narrative:

On May 6, 2019, at approximately 12:01 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the Holts Summit area.  During the patrol, the deputy conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 54 at East Simon Boulevard in Holts Summit.  The vehicle driver, James Martin-Lucas, 23, of New Bloomfield, attempted to deceive the deputy by providing a false identity.

Martin-Lucas was subsequently found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a prohibited weapon.  Martin was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Martin was booked/processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Felony Driving While Revoked, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; in addition to a Fulton municipal traffic warrant.  Martin-Lucas later posted a $7,532.50 bond and was released pending Court appearance.

On May 6, 2019, at approximately 1:49 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy (K9 unit) was patrolling the Fulton area.  While patrolling the 5000 block of Pendergras Road, the deputy located Caleb Jackson, 42, of Kingdom City.  Jackson was a wanted felon; reference a Callaway County felony warrant (probation violation) for Endangering the Welfare of a Child – Sexual Contact.

Jackson was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail reference the warrant.  As Jackson was not currently complaint with this sexual offender registration requirements, as set forth by state law, Jackson was further booked/processed for Fail to Register as a Sex Offender.  Jackson remains incarcerated in the Callaway County Jail on a $5,000.00 cash only bond.
