Deputies, assisted by K9 Iro, arrest Chicago Illinois man for trafficking over $53,000 in Heroin and Crack Cocaine during early morning traffic stop

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS MAN ARRESTED BY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES FOR TRAFFICKING HEROIN AND CRACK COCAINE IN CALLAWAY COUNTY

Dossie Richmond, 59, of Chicago, Illinois

Narrative: 

On October 2, 2019, at approximately 2:23 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit was proactively patrolling the Kingdom City area.  During the patrols, the K9 unit stopped a vehicle on US Highway 54 near County Road 210 south of Kingdom City for a traffic violation.

During the course of the traffic stop investigation, a vehicle passenger was identified as Dossie Richmond, 59, of Chicago, Illinois.  Richmond was found to be in possession of large quantities of heroin, crack cocaine, and other substances.  The estimated combined street value of the drugs is $53,470.00.

Richmond was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Later in the day, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Richmond with two felony counts of Trafficking Drugs 2nd.  Richmond is being held on $25,000.00 bond.
