Deputies arrest California, Missouri man for vehicle theft and passing a bad check

CALLAWAY COUNTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY CHARGES CALIFORNIA, MO MAN FOR STEALING A VEHICLE NEAR MILLESRBURG

Arrested person information:

Dalton Dinwiddie, 24, of California, MO

Narrative:

On March 12, 2019, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Dalton Dinwiddie, 24, of California, MO with the felony offenses of Stealing a Motor Vehicle and Passing a Bad Check.  Dinwiddie was arrested on March 11, 2019 and remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail pending a *court set* bond of $6,000.00.

The aforementioned charges are related to a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigation, initiated on March 4, 2019, concerning the theft of a vehicle near Millersburg.  Deputies determined the vehicle had been purchased using fraudulent means.

On March 11, 2019, Dinwiddie and the stolen vehicle were located in Cole County, MO.  Cole County deputies recovered the vehicle, arrested Dinwiddie, and transferred him to the custody of Callaway County deputies.
