Deputies arrest Auxvasse man for felony weapon offense after investigation in Auxvasse

AUXVASSE MAN CHARGED WITH FELONY WEAPONS OFFENSE AFTER CCSO INVESTIGATION

William Young, 48, of Auxvasse, MO

Narrative:

On December 31, 2019, Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney Christopher Wilson charged William Young, 48, of Auxvasse with the felony offense of Unlawful Use of a Weapon.  Young remains incarcerated in the Callaway County Jail pending $10,000 bond.

The charge is the result of a criminal investigation conducted by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies in the 800 block of Manor Road in Auxvasse.  At 1:57 AM on the report date, deputies responded to a reported disturbance involving weapons (knife).  Prior to deputy arrival, Young had left the scene on foot.  Deputies later located Young walking along Old Highway 54 near County Road 1048 north of Auxvasse where he was taken into custody without incident.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the disturbance.  The investigation continues.
