Deputies arrest 11 for various felonies between December 18 and December 31

SHERIFF’S OFFICE RINGS OUT 2020 WITH 11 ADDITIONAL FELONY ARRESTS FOR DRUG, THEFT, AND OTHER CRIMINAL OFFENSES

Matthew Haulenbeek, 30, of Centertown, MO

Kaytlin James, 28, of Auxvasse, MO

Michael Hall, 36, of Elvira, OH

Travis Pitt, 30, of Fulton, MO

Jared Evans, 32, of Mexico, MO (two arrests)

Joseph Swims, 31, of Auxvasse, MO

Anthony Dick, 51, of Auxvasse, MO

Nancy Belisle, 44, of Fulton, MO

Joe Sherrill, 49, of Kingdom City, MO

Narrative: 

On December 31, 2020, at approximately 4:33 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies followed-up on an ongoing criminal investigation being conducted by the Sheriff’s Office in Auxvasse.  During the course of the investigation, a deputy located Austin Debo, 26, of Wellsville, MO.  Debo was arrested for Felony Stealing and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Debo was booked/processed and later posted bond.

On December 31, 2020, at approximately 4:53 AM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies, including Sheriff’s Office K9 Iro, were proactively patrolling the 3000 block of Gold Road.  During the proactive patrol, a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation.  K9 Iro subsequently alerted to the vehicle, leading to the recovery of heroin and methamphetamine.  Matthew Haulenbeek, 30, of Centertown, MO was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Haulebeek remains in custody pending bond post.

On December 31, 2020, at approximately 12:53 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted an investigation in the Stephens area.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy located Kaytlin James, 28, of Auxvasse, MO.  James was subsequently arrested for Felony Stealing regarding an ongoing criminal investigation being conducted by the Sheriff’s Office in the Auxvasse area.  James was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On December 30, 2020, at approximately 11:06 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted an investigation in the Kingdom City area.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy located Michael Hall, 36, of Elvria, OH – a wanted fugitive in the State of Ohio for state parole violations there.  Hall was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.

On December 29, 2020, at approximately 1:58 PM, Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies – assisted by the Fulton Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol – conducted an investigation in the 800 block of Jefferson Street in Fulton.  During the course of the investigation, deputies located Travis Pitt, 30, of Fulton, MO.  Pitt was wanted reference a Callaway County felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Pitt was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and remains in-custody pending bond post.

On December 28, 2020, at approximately 3:23 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the 3000 block of Gold Road.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  Sheriff’s Office K9 Iro responded to assist.  Subsequently, methamphetamine and other controlled substances were located.  Jared Evans, 32, of Mexico, MO was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Callaway County Jail.  Evans later posted bond a second time and was released pending Court appearance.

On December 24, 2020, at approximately 2:08 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted an investigation in the area of County Road 262.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy located Joseph Swims, 31, of Auxvasse, MO.  Swims was wanted reference an Audrain County warrant for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Swims was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later transferred to the custody of the Audrain County Jail where he later posted bond.

On December 23, 2020, at approximately 3:24 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted an investigation in the 5000 block of Jade Road.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy located Anthony Dick, 51, of Auxvasse, MO.  Dick was wanted reference a Callaway County felony warrant for DWI.  Dick was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and remains in-custody without bond pending Court bond review and setting.

On December 21, 2020, at approximately 9:10 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 123 and County Road 108.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped Nancy Belisle, 44, of Fulton, MO for a traffic violation.  During the investigation, methamphetamine was discovered.  Belisle was arrested for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later released with summons for Court appearance.

On December 19, 2020, at approximately 5:52 PM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the area of County Road 245 and County Road 282.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped Joe Sherrill, 49, of Kingdom City, MO.  Sherrill was wanted by the Missouri Department of Corrections (MDOC) for state parole violations.  Sherrill was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, and later transferred to the custody of MDOC.

On December 18, 2020, at approximately 3:41 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was proactively patrolling the Kingdom City area.  During the course of the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  During the course of the investigation, the deputy came into contact with Jared Evans, 32, of Mexico, MO.  Evans was found to have an Audrain County felony warrant for his arrest.  Evans was arrested, transported to the Callaway County Jail, later transferred to the Audrain County Jail, and released after posting bond.
