CALLAWAY DEPUTIES AND HOLTS SUMMIT OFFICERS – ASSISTED BY CCSO K9 KRIEGER — CAPTURE WANTED FUGITIVE IN HOLTS SUMMIT

Travis Schroer, 38, of Fulton
On August 21, 2019, at approximately 11:00 AM, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office K9 unit was conducting proactive patrol in the Holts Summit area. During the patrol, Travis Schroer, 38, of Fulton was spotted on a motorcycle in the area of Hickory Lane and East Simon Boulevard in Holts Summit. Schroer was wanted by the Missouri Department of Corrections for Parole Violations.
As the K9 unit approached Schroer, he abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot. K9 Krieger subsequently tracked Schroer to a residence in the 100 block of East Simon Boulevard in Holts Summit.
Several Callaway County deputies and Holts Summit Police Department officers converged on the residence. K9 Krieger was deployed in the residence, at which point, Schroer exited the residence interior by jumping through a sliding glass door. Deputies and officers gave chase. Schroer was apprehended during which a physical struggle ensued.
Schroer was transported to the Callaway County Jail and later in the afternoon, he was returned to the custody of the Missouri Department of Corrections.
A warrant application will be submitted to the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney with request for additional charges regarding the aforementioned offense.
