SHERIFF’S OFFICE PATROL OF KINGDOM CITY LEADS TO FELONY DRUG ARREST FOR METH

Angel Morales, 28, of Columbia
Megan Martinez-Mendoza, 33, of Columbia
On June 28, 2018, at approximately 10:15 p.m., a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the Kingdom City area. During the proactive patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop investigation, drug activity was detected and a vehicle search was conducted. Subsequently, the deputy located methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia concealed in the vehicle.
Angel Morales, 28, of Columbia was arrested for FELONY Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Possession of Marijuana, and Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia. Morales was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted a court-set bond of $4,500.00 and was released pending court appearance.
Another vehicle occupant, Megan Martinez-Mendoza, 33, of Columbia was determined to be a wanted fugitive in Boone County reference two criminal warrants for Stealing. Martinez-Mendoza was arrested and taken to the Callaway County Jail where she later posted a court-set bond of $1,373.00 and was released pending court appearance.
