Cole County man arrested for Tebbetts area burglary after deputies recover stolen property near New Bloomfield

COLE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY AND STEALING AFTER TEBBETTS AREA BURGLARY INVESTIGATION — DEPUTIES LOCATE STOLEN PROPERTY NEAR NEW BLOOMFIELD

Christopher Hay, 30, of Brazito, MO

Narrative:

On January 18, 2019, at 8:13 PM, with the direct assistance of the Cole County Sheriff’s Office, Callaway County deputies arrested Christopher Hay, 30, of Brazito, MO. Hay was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for the felony offenses of Burglary 2nd and Stealing. Hay is being held on a *court set* bond of $9,000.00.

The aforementioned charges are the result of a residential burglary investigation conducted in the 4000 block of State Road AA on November 21, 2018. In the weeks thereafter, deputies, with the assistance of Cole County investigators, followed-up on leads.

On January 18, 2019, at 10:26 PM, Callaway County deputies located stolen property, associated with Hay, at a property near New Bloomfield. That property had been stolen from Miller County.

The Cole County Sheriff’s Office and the Miller County Sheriff’s Office continue to assist with the joint investigations.
