Centertown man arrested after Grand Jury indictment on Sheriff’s Office child sexual abuse investigation

CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE INVESTIGATION NEAR HOLTS SUMMIT CONDUCTED BY THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE LEADS TO GRAND JURY INDICTMENT

Arrested person information: 

Joshua Urban, 25, of Centertown

Narrative: 

On December 28, 2017, Joshua Urban, 25, of Centertown was indicted by the Callaway County Grand Jury for two felony counts of Statutory Sodomy (child sex offenses).  An arrest warrant was subsequently issued for Urban’s arrest.  Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Jefferson City Police Department officers followed-up in attempt to locate Urban.  On December 31, 2017, Urban was arrested in Jefferson City by the Jefferson City Police Department.  Urban has been transferred to the custody of the Callaway County Jail where he remains on a court set bond of $75,000.00.

The indictment is the result of an extensive investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office at a residence in the Holts Summit area.  The State of Missouri Children’s Division assisted with the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.  NO FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
