Callaway County Prosecutor charges Williamsburg man for domestic / weapon offenses after Sheriff’s Office investigation

PROSECUTOR CHARGES WILLIAMSBURG MAN WITH FELONY WEAPONS OFFENSE AFTER SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATION

Arrested person information:

Michael Jones, 32, of Williamsburg

Narrative:

On August 27, 2019, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Michael Jones, 32, of Williamsburg with the felony offenses of Armed Criminal Action, Domestic Assault 2nd, and Domestic Assault 3rd.  Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued for Jones.  The charges are the result of a criminal investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office near Williamsburg on August 26, 2019.  Jones had fled the area prior to deputy arrival.

On September 6, 2019, Jones was located in St. Charles County and arrested by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigators whom traveled there to conduct a follow-up investigation.  Jones was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he is being held without bond, pending further Court bond review.
