Two Callaway County men charged with weapon violations after Sheriff’s Office investigations in Kingdom City and Calwood

CALLAWAY COUNTY PROSECUTING ATTORNEY CHARGES TWO AFTER WEAPONS INVESTIGATIONS NEAR KINGDOM CITY AND CALWOOD

Arrested person information:

Joseph Wyatt, 30, of Kingdom City

John York, 48, of Fulton

Narrative:

On December 12, 2018, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Joseph Wyatt, 30, of Kingdom City with the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (felon in possession).  Wyatt is currently being held in the Callaway County Jail on a *court set* bond of $5,000.00 cash only.

On December 11, 2018, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged John York, 48, of Fulton with the felony offense of Unlawful Use of a Weapon in addition to misdemeanor domestic assault.  York posted a *court set* bond of $2,000.00 on December 12, 2018 and was released from the jail, pending court appearance.

The aforementioned charges are the result of weapons related investigations conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office.

On December 12, 2018, at approximately 1:02 PM, Callaway County deputies investigated an incident in the 5000 block of County Road 240 in Kingdom City that led to Wyatt’s arrest.  Wyatt is a convicted felon and thus for, prohibited from possessing a firearm under state and federal law.

On December 11, 2018, at approximately 9:20 PM, Callaway County deputies responded to a disturbance involving weapons off State Road JJ south of Calwood.  Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers responded to assist.  Upon the arrival of deputies and troopers, they came into contact with York whom was armed.  York was subsequently arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.
