Benton City man arrested for methamphetamine, marijuana after Sheriff’s Office K9 alerts on vehicle

On October 31, 2017, at approximately 12:38 a.m., a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the Kingdom City area. During the patrol, the deputy stopped a vehicle, driven by Charles Pugh, for a vehicle registration violation.

During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy detected the presence of criminal activity. The Sheriff’s Office K9 unit responded to assist. After further investigation, evidence of drug activity was located in the vehicle, to include methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Pugh was subsequently arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail. Pugh was booked / processed for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Pugh was placed on a court set bond of $5,500.00.
