Auxvasse man arrested for Misuse of 911 after calling 911 16 times in five hours

Narrative:

On April 17, 2019, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Wayne Brondel, 53, of Auxvasse with the criminal offense of Misusing 911.

The charge is the result of an investigation conducted by Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputies during the early morning hours of April 16, 2019 in the 6000 block of County Road 260 near Auxvasse.  In a period just over five hours, 16 separate 911 calls were received from the suspect residence.  Deputies attempted to contact Brondel at the residence during the initial 911 responses, however he refused to exit the residence and chastised deputies.  Later in the day, deputies returned to the residence and arrested Brondel without incident.

Brondel was transported to the Callaway County Jail, booked/processed, and later released after posting a $3,000.00 bond.
