Auxvasse female arrested after traffic stop involving stolen car

On November 3, 2017, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Sammy Philbook, 19, of Auxvasse with Felony Receiving Stolen Property and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Philbrook remains in the custody of the Callaway County Jail on a court set $5,000.00 bond.

The charge is the result of a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigation conducted in Kingdom City on November 2, 2017 at approximately 6:06 p.m.  At that time, a Callaway County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a vehicle on Old Highway 40 near US Highway 54 for a traffic violation.  Upon further investigation at the traffic stop, it was determined the vehicle was stolen out of Columbia, MO.  The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Columbia Police Department on November 1, 2017.

The driver, Sammy Philbrook, was subsequently arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail for booking / processing.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges could be forthcoming.  NO FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE RELEASED AT THIS TIME.
